Noise pollution in Tarragona neighborhoods has negative health impacts on residents

A study led by the University Rovira i Virgili (URV) has shown that chronic noise pollution in the Serrallo, Tarragona 2, and Francolí neighborhoods in Tarragona has significant negative effects on residents’ health. The research, carried out through a citizen science project, measured environmental noise levels and correlated them with physiological data such as heart rate and sleep patterns collected via mobile devices and smart wristbands.
